Eat yourself poor in Venice In Venice, eating is so expensive. We knew that we‘d better avoid the terraces on the San Marco square and therefore we chose a little side street. The tourist menu looked attractive: Bratwurst with Fries. For 15 euros without drinks, we received a small hot sausage with exactly 12 French fries. Thank God we spent only one day in Venice. Next time, we’ll eat plenty at breakfast to avoid a lunch in the town of Venice. Venice has taken the concept one step further and now you can’t even walk around without a shirt or rest along the canals.
