Prague
When the Iron Curtain came down, thousands of tourists went to Prague. Fortunately, things have calmed down a bit now. Many buildings have been cleaned up or restored. Prague's rich culture hasn't lost any or its charm. It is often referred to as the golden city or the city of one hundred towers and spires. The days when you could do fantastic bargains in Prague have long gone, though.
The city's golden shimmer faded a long time ago, but the one hundred towers and spires are all still there. There are so many buildings and squares in Prague worth seeing that we have limited ourselves to three important districts here. Prague castle and the museums in that area alone will take up an entire day. Then there is the Old Town with the Jewish Quarter and the New Town with Wenceslas Square and the National Museum.
Prague is a very lively city by day and by night. It is impossible to get bored. When in Prague, the Laterna Magica is an absolute must. Below you will find more information about shopping, the theatre and concerts and some extra tips. If you like culture, then 5 days in Prague are not enough. It has a vast array of museums and the beautiful buildings will never stop amazing you.

Tickets for Laterna Magica
Don’t book tickets for Laterna Magica through the Net. We had booked 2 tickets for Laterna Magica in Prague and when we arrived, they knew nothing about it and did not understand English very well. Thus there was nothing to do but to buy two more tickets. When I looked again at this website, I realized that it was not the real one, but a counterfeit. The real site is the following: www.laterna.cz

Stay away from the snacks at the table!
I would like to warn people against the restaurants in Prague. They have these little Italian breadsticks on the table and other biscuits, so one is tempted to eat some while waiting for the meal. When it’s time to pay, you see on the bill that you have eaten aperitif snacks. So if you start eating these biscuits because you’re hungry or because you’ve been waiting for too long, you better eat them all since you’re going to pay for them anyway
