Nice
The French Côte d'Azur is magically attractive because of its mild temperatures. Nice is sheltered round a corner of the Mediterranean coast and has very few rainy days. Even in November, the average day temperature is 17°C. Many wealthy people from France and beyond have bought their own place here. The area therefore has a reputation of being expensive, but if you are careful, nothing is further from the truth. The TGV takes you here in no time and you can find places to stay and eat in all price ranges.
If you want to spend a few days on the Côte d'Azur, then Nice is the best city. It offers good value for money, many points of interest, both private and public beaches, many daytrips (to Monaco for example) and a wide variety of events, such as the Nice Carnival.

Private beaches everywhere
In your special feature on Nice, public beaches are mentioned, but you have to look very far to find them in Nice. That’s why we chose to open our wallet for a day of sun on the Côte d’Azur. The luxury provided by private beaches for the amount you pay is an excellent price/quality ratio. There, you’ll find everything from showers to a snack bar. Moreover, we had sand, which is also unusual for Nice.
