Athens
Athens represents more than three thousand years of history. The seven hundred years just before the start of the Christian calendar still fascinate us, although the more recent, modern Athens does have its strong points. The story of the city reads like a history book that never ends. Here and there, between the ancient history, there is modern-day story of good food and drink, fascinating people, and a city life that never seems to sleep.
Finding tourist attractions in Athens is not difficult because they are there in abundance; just remember to keep an eye on the busy traffic along the way. It is much more complicated to organise your visit to the attractions with any degree of logic or appreciation of distance. We will be looking first and foremost at the most important, most valuable and most notable aspects of ancient Athens, but without losing sight of the modern.

Piraeus, top gastronomy
As indicated on this website, we visited Piraeus for several tourist attractions. So we arrived at the harbour Mikrolimano. It’s the ideal place to taste fresh fish! And not expensive at all. It’s something you should absolutely not miss when you go to Athens!

Get enjoyably lost in the city
I had read it on the Internet and wanted to try it for myself during my city trip in Athens. I was tired of all these old stones so I left with just a map and some drinks in my backpack and let myself wander through the city. It’s so beautiful to discover the real Athens, stunning in its simplicity. People are really friendly and helpful when you’re ready to head back to the Athens of tourists.
